Incorporated in 2008, by Mark Aquilina, NOUV initially provided traditional accounting services to micro and small enterprises, especially start-ups. The following years resulted in the simultaneous growth of both NOUV’s initial clients and of the firm itself. Recognising that clients’ needs became more sophisticated and complex, the firm evolved and expanded its range of services accordingly.
The firm’s growth and increasingly diverse client base resulted in the strengthening of the partners’ team, with the joining of Tonio Farrugia as Advisory Partner.
One year later, NOUV, in its aim to offer a full spectrum of corporate services, added Statutory Audit to its portfolio. James Ellul would become the audit principal.
In April 2015, NOUV became an independent member of TGS Global, an international network of professional business advisors.
The firm entered a joint venture and launched 36N Capital, a transactions specialist company.
Given its increased international interests, the firm was engaged in a Finance Transformation assignment in Tallinn, Estonia by one of the top 50 iGaming companies worldwide, the CoinGaming Group, whose Bitcasino brand has twice been recognised at the prestigious EGR Operator Awards, nominated in 2016 for the Rising Star category and in 2017 in the Slots Operator category.
In March 2018, Avv. Anthony Sammut joined the firm, and this gave way to expand the portfolio of services to includes areas such as Succession Planning, Conflict Resolution, Leadership Development, and other business advisory services. Furthermore, in June 2018, Mr Andrew Naudi joined as Technology Partner in the launch of NOUV Technology. This inline to the long-term corporate strategy of the firm aimed at adding value by providing a complete turnkey solution to its clients.
In 2019, NOUV started adopting a tag line that resonates with its roots and principal focus of helping businesses set their strategy, implement the changes that matter within their organisation, and assist them in further developing their business. The firm engaged a PR agency to promote its newly adopted strategy via articles and adverts on major local publications and social media. During this year, new ventures were set-ups, such as GetGovernanz, KnowBreaches and CarePact.
